Wishing CCP Soundwave all the best but hope lives on.
How about a new Little Things thread to reflect that?
1. Some sort of indicator in the character sheet (or Journal) for NPC corps you have standing with, showing progress to the next storyline mission. Like a 16 part pie that fills in or something with each mission and resets every 16 missions.
2. When I am docked in the hangar or CQ I want a radial menu for my active ship for the common actions like:
- Leave ship - Open Cargo - Open Fittings - Open Drone Bay - Open specialised hold
(the right click menu is unwieldy and also suffers featuritis)
3. Also a palette floating at the top of the Neocom for the active docked ship in hangar view with buttons for these functions would be very nice. Something like this in terms of function already exists in space in the form of the Selected Item palette. These common actions really should have 1 click access in the hangar.
Those are three things off the top of my head.

Suggestion: Flash the S&I button in the neocom when Industry or Invention of PI stuff finishes Keywords: ui, Science & Industry, qol Note: Checking it all the time to see "is it done yet" brings sadness, all other things flash when something finishes like skills, missions, wallet orders, etc. |

Suggestion: display Virus Strength of a ship on the fitting window Keywords: ui, fitting, hacking, archeology Note: When fitting a ship for hacking/archeology this will be very useful feedback when adding modules and rigs to increase virus strength. |

Suggestion: Breadcrumb links when browsing info windows that are hyperlinked/nested.
Keywords: UI, navigation
Note: When you open an info window from the map, autopilot path etc., and you open a system, then open a station of that system, you lose your place and have to go back from the beginning because there is not a back button or browser breadcrumb to follow back to.
Same thing with items like blueprints and market items.
Suggestion: Have info windows for manufacturable items link to their blueprint
Keywords: UI, navigation
Note: It just needs to happen. Pretty please. |

Suggestion: Make a small green check mark appear next to the mission name up at the top left of the space view (where the system and AP info is) when you've triggered the mission completion.
Will help with blitzing without having to open the Journal.
Keywords: UI, missions
Note: pretty self explanatory. |

Suggestion: The info windows for ships and modules could have two additional tabs:
1. Reprocess: Shows what materials the item will reprocess into, with columns for Perfect, % loss affected by skills, and % loss affected by standings.
2. Production: Displays and links to Blueprint(s) to make the item similar to how planetary commodity info windows link to their schematics.
Keywords: UI, modules, ships, Industry
3. Notes: The Production tab in particular would help new Industrialists find the BPs for things they are interested in very quickly. For reprocessing it just seems like added complexity that you have to try to refine something to find out what it refines into at all. |

Suggestion: Add radial menu to the Survey Scanner results items Keywords: ui, survey scanner Note: I am used to having this now in the Overview and feel sad every time I try to target a rock from the Survey Scanner and have to resort to Cntrl Click |

Phoenix Jones wrote:Suggestion: Disable local in non-station systems. Leave local the same in stationed systems.
Keywords: Game design, local chat, ui, mystery, gameplay, intel
Notes: There is a need for more mystery and fear. Expanding the wormhole style of no-local person identifier until someone talks in it should be applied to all of Eve's Non Space Stationed Systems. Any system with at least 1 station in it keeps local chat exactly the same as it functions in k-space presently. Any k-space system without at least 1 station shows no local chatlist of players in system. If a station is anchored in a system, local chat will show up. I want to create more mystery, but not completely nerf how people presently use the game. So to summarize... K-space station, local is present. k-space with no station, no local. This applies to nullsec, lowsec and highsec.
This seems more like an F&I than a quality of life thing. |

GordonO wrote:Can we have a way to share out own personal hangars PLEASE. Like corp hangars but I can select whom I want to give access to ? I have alts.. and sharing stuff is a pain and not every corp can have an office in Jita. You also can't contract ships with containers and damaged drone in them. Make it simple and globaly applicable, ie not tied to each station.
Open a Trade window? That's how I do it. |

Suggestion: If a factory in PI doesnt have the output routed to somewhere, have a big yellow "!" on top of it as a heads up.
Keywords: PI, UI, #nomoretears
Note: I keep losing days or weeks of PI production because an output wasn't routed and poof everything just disappears into thin air that went into that factory.
All because of missing a few clicks in the clickfest. It is not nearly visible enough in the interface that something isnt routed. Make it obvious and up front! Please! |
